In reply to:  EE Signal & Coverage Problems: EE have cut back their 3G network in the UK now 4G is launched

  • EE switched off a T-Mobile mast in my area (Salford Central) in Jan this year (2013) which left me with No Service at home. We were one of the first areas to get 4g. They sent me a signal box free of charge as it was their fault that I wasn’t getting a signal any more. It used to transmit 3g data also until a few months back. At first they told me it was because their servers were overloaded due to the number of people now using these boxes. It was when I activated visual voicemail which uses 3g data and not wifi that I realised the box was not transmitting 3g data anymore. I cancelled the visual voicemail as they were charging me extra for it. (I’m on a SIM only plan and you only get it free if your tariff is above £35 pm on Orange).
After months of texts from EE Technical Support saying they haven’t forgotten about me and they are still working on it, I have heard nothing for over a month now.
I am beyond fed up with Orange and EE.
